Attention members of the public:
Membership and instruction with the CSULBSA is open only to CSULB students and a limited number of faculty, staff and alumni.
Members of the public are encouraged to contact Leeway Sailing Center (562-570-1719) and inquire about sailing courses offered by the City of Long Beach Dept of Parks, Recreation & Marine.
At this time CSULBSA is not in operation due to COVID-19. Please check this website back before Summer semester 2022, when we hope to be operating again.
All CSULB students are eligible to become club members. In addition, a limited number of CSULB faculty, staff and alumni may be eligible to join.
The club welcomes students with all levels of sailing experience: from advanced and recreational sailors to those who have never stepped foot on a sailboat before.
NOT A SAILOR? NOT A PROBLEM!
The CSULBSA offers beginner sailing lessons on our Capri 14’s during the Spring and Fall semesters. For schedule, fees and more info, check out our Learn To Sail page.
Get involved.
The CSULBSA kicks off each semester with a New Members Welcome Barbecue. The BBQ is our club’s “open house” — when new members sign-up for lessons or come to see what the club is all about.
Check our official calendar for the next event or contact the CSULB Kinesiology Department Club Sports here.
The BBQ and other activities take place at the historic Leeway Sailing Center: 5437 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA 90803.
