Group Sail

Like other campus organizations, the CSULBSA hosts weekly club meetings. But, unlike other clubs who host their events in stuffy classrooms or crowded coffee shops, we hold our meetings as we sail the Pacific Ocean!

Every Saturday our members meet for recreational “Group Sailing” when we take our 30-foot Shields out to Long Beach Harbor. Group sail normally lasts between 2-3 hours, and the starting times vary based on season.

Frequent “sail-by” destinations include The Queen Mary, Seal Beach Pier, and the oil rigs & islands, where it’s not uncommon to get up close with the locals: harbor seals, sea lions, dolphins, or even whales!

Sail with us!

Group sail is open to all CSULB students, alums, staff, and faculty. Club membership is not required. Email club member Kyle Henneberque [kyle.henneb@gmail.com] to sign up for this week’s sail!
