In early August the Sailing Association did a quick haul-out on Shields #134, “Karen,” in order to repaint her keel and boot.
Karen’s new paint puts her back on even footing with the other active Shields, as as Isabelle, Dark Horse and Josephine have all received new paint in the last year.
In addition to the paint, the club also took the opportunity to refit some of Karen’s standing rigging while she was out of service. She’s currently back in the water awaiting some fine tuning before the club’s Fall 2015 Welcome BBQ on Saturday, September 5th.
