New Skipper Joins the Ranks

The CSULB Sailing Association is proud to welcome David Woerner to our fleet of Shields skippers. David, who currently serves as the club’s vice commodore, is the latest skipper to join Shields Fleet 20, after completing his checkout and provisional sails on March 27, 2015. 

David’s first action as a Shields skipper came on April 2nd as Lt. Skipper for Dark Horse during the club’s 25-mile sail home from Two Harbors, Catalina to Long Beach. 

As CSULBSA Shields instructor and race coordinator Charlie Abbott said: “Wind at your back David. You are a welcome addition to the ranks!”
